Alistair R.B. Forbes, CEOjust when you think that you understand your business, something happens that surprises you and makes you think again. Some months ago, Acentic installed a new Interactive TV System in the new opening Sheraton Hotel in Poznan, Poland. More than 150 rooms were installed with Samsung TV’s and a system that incorporated the newly designed Sheraton brand throughout the Graphical User Interface and the guest was presented with a wide range of movies. We were very proud. So proud that we asked Iva Trifonov, the General Manager to give some comments about what she and the staff liked about the system that we could show in Sheraton and the wider world. We even gave some suggestions as to what she may include… Digital Quality, vast content choice, Sheraton graphical new interface etc. She replied to us by saying:

“That’s not what I want to say. The one thing that made Acentic a truly valuable partner was the flexible and understanding service during the very demanding time of the opening of the hotel. This is where you really made the difference. Not that much the functionality of the system. And then throughout the year you were available to support, train, offer solutions and further extend the options, working hand in hand with our managers and supervisors.”

All too often in business we spend our time with the problems and how to fix them, when maybe we should spend our time finding out what’s going right and replicate it.
